Why Minnow exists

Minnow started as a 2013 sketch. The idea: give org teams the autonomy to run their own branded merch programs without losing brand guardrails. Tools that let them move quickly and stay aligned to the guidelines they spent years building.

The technology took thirteen years to catch up. By 2026, AI could read a brand guide PDF and extract usable rules. Payment infrastructure could pool a hundred buyers into a single order. A phone screen could carry the entire experience — pick, commit, ship — in thirty seconds.

The group buy is the engine

Bulk pricing usually demands one big buyer fronting the order. Minnow flips that. Each teammate commits their own share. The cohort grows. The unit price drops in real time. When the window closes, everyone pays at the bottom of the curve.

No one fronts. Everyone saves. Buyers are protected — you’ll never pay more than the price you committed to.

The name carries the model

Minimum order, now. Small teams hitting the wholesale floor in real time. A single minnow can’t move a freight order — a school of them can. The brand is the thesis.
